Eric Jeckelmann's research group
Welcome to our homepage.
The research group deals with the development and application of computational methods
for investigating quantum many-body systems. We mostly work with the density-matrix renormalization group method and with related matrix-product-state methods. In the field of quantum many-body physics there is a great need for better theoretical tools and the developement of new methods is one of the group main goals. Applications are focused on current problems in condensed matter theory, in particular the properties of low-dimensional solids, the physics of strongly correlated electron models, and the dynamics of complex quantum systems out of equilibrium.
